Glaze is a fundamental process of ceramics and gives the clay surface a huge range of colour and depth but there are not many courses out there teaching you how to make your own glazes so we have decided to offer this one day course at SkandihHus.

You will be taught the basics of glaze technology and learn how to mix a glaze by following a recipe. 

What to Bring

You will need to bring your own dust mask which must have government safety approval. The best value mask that we know of is this (make sure you get the right size) with these filters

Please also bring an apron

About the Teacher

Originally working in the area of furniture and product design, Georgina turned to ceramics when she was provided the opportunity to study in Seoul, South Korea several years ago. 

Georgina has always been drawn to work that requires patience; creation through persistence. The medium of ceramics tests the parameters of her patience and helps her understand the way in which she works as an artist. She has extensive experience with mixing glazes.
