MAKE A MONSTER TASTER | ALL AGES | SUNDAY 2ND AUGUST 2026 | 10:00-12:00AM | E5 STUDIO

Create your own creature in our Make A Monster class open to the young and the young at heart! Join us at our Clapton studio for a two hour class learning how to mould your own monsterous creation out of clay. Using the ‘pinching’ technique to create your monster body and decorative tricks to make them as weird and wonderful as you like. You can then paint your pieces to bring them alive.

By the end of the class, you’ll choose your favourite piece for us to transparant glaze and fire. Your beautiful creations will be ready for you to collect in about eight weeks.

Suitable for all ages from 6+ however a guardian must be present throughout the whole class if aged under 16 years old as our teachers are not DBS checked. If not participating you are welcome to sit in the studio with a book and cup of tea. Everyone participating in the class must have a booking.

WHAT TO BRING

Please bring clothes that can get dirty, positive energy and ideas!

We will send you our student handbook a few days prior to the start of the class, with all the information that you need to know. You are welcome to bring your own apron, or you can purchase a SkandiHus apron here. Please choose “local pickup” if you would like to avoid delivery fees and collect your apron during your class.

We do our best to keep things gentle on the planet—recycling materials, using renewable energy, and keeping waste to a minimum. You can help too by reusing your course materials where possible and bringing your own packaging when collecting finished pieces.

In the heart of beautiful Clapton, this studio is a short walk from Hackney Downs and Hackney Central, with great bus links to the city.

Refund Policy

We’re a small, ethically run business - which means we pay our lovely team properly and keep our classes as accessible as possible. To make that work, we offer refunds up to 28 days before the start of your class. After that, refunds aren’t possible — so please do a happy little calendar dance before booking to double-check your dates!

That said, life happens! If things go sideways: 

🤍 Up to 28 days before your class, you can receive a full refund.

🤍 You can swap your booking to another Taster Class up to 14 days before your session.

🤍 Inside 14 days? No swaps, but you’re welcome to gift your spot to a mate or family member (spread the clay joy!).  

Why so strict?
Each weekend, we get numerous last-minute change requests. If we said yes to all of them, we’d have to choose between cutting staff wages or hiking prices - and both options would make us really sad. By sticking to this policy, we keep things fair, keep our team happy, and keep our studios thriving.
