CLAY, SOUND & CACAO | SATURDAY 11TH APRIL | 2.00-6:00PM | N1 STUDIO

£70.00

CLAY, SOUND & CACAO | SATURDAY 11TH APRIL | 2.00-6:00PM | N1 STUDIO | £70

We are excited to welcome you into our de Beauvoir studio for a special afternoon of pottery, cacao and a sound journey. Led by the wonderful Dom and Carolina and our founder, Stine Dulong. This event is open to anyone looking for creativity, connection, relaxation and community. No prior experience necessary.

We’re delighted to welcome you into our de Beauvoir studio for a nourishing afternoon of cacao ceremony, pottery and sound. Guided by Dom, Carolina, and SkandiHus founder Stine Dulong, this experience is an invitation into creativity, connection and embodied presence.

This gathering is open to anyone feeling called to slow down, open the heart and reconnect. No prior experience with clay, cacao or sound is needed.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

2-2:45pm

Cacao Ceremony with Don & Carolina

We’ll start the afternoon with a heart-opening cacao ceremony.

Ceremonial cacao is a gentle, heart-opening plant medicine traditionally used to support connection, presence and emotional clarity. In this ceremony, we’ll be guided to drink cacao with intention, allowing its subtle energy to soften the body and quiet the mind. Held in a safe, nurturing space, the cacao invites us to slow down, listen inwardly and connect more deeply, with ourselves, with each other, and with the present moment. When combined with sound, cacao becomes a powerful ally for grounding, reflection and opening the heart.

3-4.30pm

Cacao Cup making with Stine

We’ll continue the afternoon with a grounding pottery session, where you’ll create your own handmade cacao cup using the ancient and intuitive technique of pinch pot making. Working slowly and directly with the clay, you’ll shape a vessel intended for ritual use,  one that can hold cacao, intention and presence.

Pinching clay is a simple yet profound practice that reconnects hands, heart and breath. Clay has a unique way of bringing us into the present moment and into quiet connection with ourselves and one another.

4:45-5:45pm

Sound Journey with Dom & Carolina

We will close the afternoon with a deeply immersive sound journey. Using voice, instruments and subtle vibration, Dom and Carolina will guide you into a meditative soundscape designed to support rest, emotional release and inner clarity.

You’re invited to lie down, sit comfortably, or move gently as the sounds carry you, simply receiving whatever arises.

6pm

Goodbyes and hugs (for those that want one)

ABOUT DOM HATCHER

Dom began his yoga journey in his early 20s but only discovered Kirtan in 2018. The depth of emotion and devotion he felt at his first Kirtan left a lasting imprint, inspiring him to buy a harmonium and begin learning right away. Since then, he has devoted himself to Bhakti Yoga, completing multiple trainings and making pilgrimage to India to immerse himself in its origins and sacred sites.

He has been facilitating Kirtans in the UK since 2019, first within yoga workshops and soon as a dedicated practice. Since then, Dom has led and participated in hundreds of Kirtans across the UK, Europe, South & Central America, and India. Today, he runs monthly Kirtans in Henley-on-Thames and surrounding areas, and continues to share Bhakti at festivals and events worldwide. For Dom, Bhakti Yoga is a path of service, transformation, and gratitude, one he is honoured to share with others.

ABOUT STINE DULONG

Stine Dulong is the founder of SkandiHus pottery studios. She quit her corporate lawyer job in 2013 to become a full-time potter. For her, clay was a gateway into transformation. Not only did it become her career and change the structure of her life on the surface, but it also fundamentally shifted who she is and how she perceives the world. Through pottery, she found a way into a slower, more mindful, and joyous way of existing. It’s now her greatest privilege to witness the profound positive effects that working with clay has on her students.

Stine is also a bhaki yogi, infusing her spritiual practices into everything she does from running the business to teaching yoga and pottery, and running retreats. For her, yoga is not just a way of life, it is life.

A small note on sustainability & values

We do our best to keep things gentle on the planet—recycling materials, using renewable energy, and keeping waste to a minimum. You can help too by reusing your course materials where possible and bringing your own packaging when collecting finished pieces.

We believe business can be a force for good—so alongside running joyful, creative studios, we’re committed to doing things properly:

  • Paying all staff London Living Wage or above

  • Running all kilns and wheels on 100% renewable energy

  • Keeping our spaces kind, inclusive and stress-free

  • Supporting causes like the ARC food bank and Ella’s, a charity helping survivors of trafficking

  • Donating profits from unclaimed pots to charity

  • Planting trees each year with One Tree Planted

Refund Policy

We’re a small, ethically run business, which means we pay our lovely team properly and keep our classes as accessible as possible. To make that work refunds aren’t possible on our workshops, so please do a happy little calendar dance before booking to double-check your dates!

That said, life happens! If things go sideways:

🤍 You can swap your Workshop booking to another Taster Class up to 14 days before your session.

🤍 Inside 14 days? No swaps, but you’re welcome to gift your spot to a mate or family member (spread the clay joy!).

Why so strict?
Each weekend, we get numerous last-minute change requests. If we said yes to all of them, we’d have to choose between cutting staff wages or hiking prices, and both options would make us really sad. By sticking to this policy, we keep things fair, keep our team happy, and keep our studios thriving.

Thanks for understanding - now let’s get making! 🤍✨🤍
