Private Wheel Throwing Pottery Class | Saturday 26th July 2025 | 10:00am - 12:30pm | N1 Studio | 2 people
Join us for your own private wheel throwing class in our newly renovated De Beauvoir studio space. Under the gentle guidance of one of our skilled teachers, you’ll each learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, creating your own pieces from start to finish. This is your time to connect, unwind, and enjoy the meditative process of shaping clay.
You can select two of your favourite pieces each to be finished by our studio team. Your creations will be carefully dried, bisque-fired, and finished with our Scandi-inspired white gloss glaze by our team. They’ll be ready for collection 6-8 weeks after your class, wrapped in one of our own SkandiHus tote bags for you to take home.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE COURSE
The price includes all clay, materials, and firings.
WHAT TO BRING
Please bring clothes that can get dirty, positive energy and ideas! You will be provided with SkandiHus Studio aprons or you can purchase a SkandiHus apron here. Please choose “local pickup” if you would like to avoid delivery fees and collect your apron during your class.
We will send you our student handbook a few days prior to the start of the class, with all the information that you need to know.
WHERE
SkandiHus, 90 De Beauvoir Road, London, N1 4EN.
Our lovely De Beauvoir Studio is a short walk away from both Haggerston and Dalston Station, as well as Essex Road.
A small note on sustainability & values
We do our best to keep things gentle on the planet—recycling materials, using renewable energy, and keeping waste to a minimum. You can help too by reusing your course materials where possible and bringing your own packaging when collecting finished pieces.
We believe business can be a force for good—so alongside running joyful, creative studios, we’re committed to doing things properly:
– Paying all staff London Living Wage or above
– Keeping our spaces kind, inclusive and stress-free
– Supporting causes like the ARC food bank and Ella’s, a charity helping survivors of trafficking
– Donating profits from unclaimed pots to charity
– Planting trees each year with One Tree Planted
Refund Policy
We’re a small, ethically run business - which means we pay our lovely team properly and keep our classes as accessible as possible. To make that work, we offer refunds up to 28 days before the start of your class. After that, refunds aren’t possible — so please do a happy little calendar dance before booking to double-check your dates!
That said, life happens! If things go sideways:
🤍 Up to 28 days before your class, you can receive a full refund.
🤍 You can swap your booking to another Taster Class up to 14 days before your session.
🤍 Inside 14 days? No swaps, but you’re welcome to gift your spot to a mate or family member (spread the clay joy!).
Why so strict?
Each weekend, we get numerous last-minute change requests. If we said yes to all of them, we’d have to choose between cutting staff wages or hiking prices - and both options would make us really sad. By sticking to this policy, we keep things fair, keep our team happy, and keep our studios thriving.
Thanks for understanding - now let’s get making! 🤍✨🤍
